people can be more or less skilled at particular types of reasoning or analytical frameworks, they can have more or less knowledge about a topic, and they can be more or less willing to change their mind in the face of new evidence or logical errors. people can have cognitive differences that make those easier or harder.

but people are not more or less intelligent. don't criticize people by appealing to a concept of generalized intelligence, it's just inaccurate (in addition to being ableist)

about a nerdy girl
who lives in a gay world

and all day and all night
everything she sees is GAY
like her,
inside and outside

gay her house
with a gay little window
and a gay corvette
and everyone is gay for her
and herself and everybody around

'cause she on, she on, the Mastodon

I'm gay, da ba dee, da ba dai...

and a hundred percent reason to join masto today

ugh my father thinks that "everyone has a right to an opinion", means that if someone expresses an opinion you should leave it be. Yes a right of opinion is valid, but it doesn't extend to criticism of an opinion, if an opinion is very dangerous, or even slight dangerous it is imperative to criticise an opinion. also not everything that sounds like an opinion is an opinion it is this latter "logic" that creates things like climate change deniers.

WRONG: “...we should sympathize with them and try to understand their viewpoints.”

RIGHT: “...we should see their transformation into hateful monsters as all the more horrifying, and guard against that transformation in ourselves.”

RT @girlareyoubot: Enby, are you a water-pocket? Because you are a cavity or mass of porous rock containing water; a water-hole. Chiefly current in the south-western United States, where the Spanish equivalent bolson is often also used!

In the Sims do they have to put person cards in their cell phones?

"I'm not using singular they! The APA says not to"

"The APA isn't the boss of you. And actually it says singular they is fine"

"The OED is also not the boss of you. And actually it also says it's fine"

"Okay, but... um... I..."
