#lexember Day 25 for Htoleiþe
xahïmnerk
/ˈxɑʔymneɹk/
noun
colony
from xahïmatne, "I colonize," or lit. "I subjugate outward," + -(a)rk, "place."
@kittybecca Interesting script as well!
@Monkeymind thanks! each character is generally a morpheme, but if a morpheme is multi-syllabic then each syllable of that morpheme is a character. characters themselves are composed of smaller parts, similar to hangul in that respect.
@kittybecca How complex can the single-character syllables be?
@Monkeymind CVCC at maximum, but the last sound can be geminated which adds another part to the character, and the vowels themselves can be composed either of two vowels or of vowels + diacritics for roundedness or non-roundedness (depending on the vowel's default roundedness)
@kittybecca Neat. Any rules for that final cluster?
