I do not wish to advocate for immortality in a world where for some of us life is still not worth living. Not in a world where some people's quality of life depends on others suffering. Not in a world that is still deeply unequal and inequitable.
Any discussions about immortality will not be humane or even liberatory unless all of us are truly free.
This is why all trans*human discourse must be grounded in anti-capitalism and anti-racism.
Afrofuturism is just one of the many ways to address the overwhelmingly white discourse on radical morphological autonomy.
